The will makes no mention of alleged sons Nimrod nor Jacob. This casts doubt and adds to confusion as to the true identity of Nimrod's and Jacob's parents.

Daniel Bly has stated he believes Jacob, son of Peter married Elizabeth Ruffner. Supported here: http://www.ruffnerfamily.org/wp/early-genrerations/. Also in Forerunners-Strickler Book pg 119 listed Peter Ruffner will, son-in-law Jacob Stover.

Daniel Bly has speculated that "Jacob of Hardy County" may be son Mary Stover. He suggests that Mary, dau. of Jacob (1717-1791) had children named Jacob and Mary without benefit of marriage. Mary is Christian Stover Junior's sister, who was mentioned in Christian Junior's 1815 will along with her children Jacob and Mary. The Jacob b. 1853 had ties to Hardy County, so Bly may be referring to THIS Jacob.

    Birth:
There is some question as to who this Jacob Stover married. Some research suggests this Jacob m. Elizabeth Ruffner and it was a different Jacob who m. Dorothy Neff. So some caution should be taken.
