William Barton 1762-1830, m. Nancy Hunter 1732-1749

William Barton was from Orange County, North Carolina. He married Nancy Hunter 1770-1799. No records seem to exist for their ancestry. I have been told the records in that area up to the Revolutionary War were buried to keep the British from seizing them, but then lost. I have been told some believe William's parents (or grandparents) to be John Barton 1728-1749 (short life) of Manchester, Lancashire, England, or Betsy (unknown) 1732-1749 (another short life) of Lebanon, St Clair County, Illinois. Any help is appreciated.

Ancestry of William Henry Stover, 1832-1907, Virginia, Kansas, Colorado

William Henry Stover b. 1832 in Virginia, d. 1907 in Canon City, Fremont County, Colorado. His Parents were Rev. Jacob Stover and Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Powelson, both from Virginia. William Henry Stover first married Sarah "Jane" Christy before 1857. She gave birth to the following, all in Ohio: Samuel "Charles" Christy Stover b. 1857, Emma Rosanna Stover b. 1859, and Cora E "Carrie" Stover b. 1862. After Sarah died in 1865, William married Martha "Mattie" Powelson in 1867. She gave birth to William Rollen Stover Sr b. 1868 and Robert Jason Stover b. 1870. The family moved from Miami County, Kansas to Fremont County, Colorado after 1880 and before 1900. I am seeking any information on William Henry Stover and relations which may help in further tracing his ancestry. Thanks
