Re: John Barton 1796-1846 Illinois Sally or Sarah Penn
Ginger Robb Hulet, posted:6 Sep 2006 11:20PM GMT Classification: Query I am a decendent of this Barton line you are talking about I think. My Grandfather's name was William Penn Barton. His mother was Sally Penn. I have all of that geneology. I still live in Paragonah Utah where he lived and died. Let me know if this is the line you are looking for and if I can help you out with it. I don't check this board much, so you will have to email me.

    Birth:
It's unclear if William had a middle name (such as "John"). If one exists, it has been suggested to to be either Penn or John. Either way, it appears he never used a middle name during his life.

    Buried:
    Parowan City Cemetery

William married Sarah Esther West 26 Feb 1845, Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois. Sarah (daughter of Samuel Walker West and Margaret "Peggy" Cooper) was born 8 Nov 1829, Nashville, Dixon County, Tennessee; died 28 Mar 1906, Greenville, Beaver County, Utah; was buried March 1906, Greenville, Beaver County, Utah.
