      Death date confirmed from Index: Rockingham County, Virginia Deaths, 1862-77, cause of death was OLD AGE.

      Was an illiterate carpenter from either Pennsylvania or Virginia, depending on which family member placed on there death certificates. Started his family life with his wife Mary Ann Rowe after 1818 in the Western District, Shenandoah, Virginia until 1831 when this district became the new Page County, Virginia. Was involved in the manufacturing business, until the 1850s when family relocated to the Elkton and then Harrisonburg area.

      Is believed buried with his wife Mary Ann Stover in the Saint Peters Cemetery on
      East Point Road (Rt. 602) in Elkton. Awaiting Proof prior to changing burial details.
