Notes |
- This entry for Johannes Hans Stauffer follows THIS Stauffer descendant register:
https://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/trees/164484/P24556/-/registry. This register lists Christian and Adelheid (Opplinger) Stauffer having a son, Hans (Jonannes) Stauffer (b.1613), who then had a son, Hans (Johannes) Stauffer (b.1644). Supporting ref also at : Confusion, Real Father of Hans Stauffer,
https://Iwww.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/stauffer/510
The above register info CONFLICTS with information from Stauffer Stover Family History 1899 pg 195. This reference suggests Johannes Stauffer (b. btw 1650-55) was the son of Daniel Stauffer (b. abt 1630).
More conflicting information exists in Genealogical Memoranda, STOUFFER, by Kate Snively, pg 14. This reference ALSO suggests that Daniel (b. abt 1633) was the father of Hans (b. btw 1650-55).
