Notes |
- Will of Jacob Stouffer of Lampeter, dated 7 Nov 1794. Proved 13 Dec 1794. Mentions wife Elizabeth. 1st son Christian. 2nd son Jacob. Daniel. Dau Magdalena. Nephew Daniel (son of John). Execs: brother John Stouffer and friend Martin Mellinger.
Jacob's will calls for elder sons Christian and Jacob to each pay 50 pounds yearly to to the executors to serve as inheritance for minor children Daniel and Magdalena, who were too young in 1794 to receive inheritance of the estate.
Jacob placed strict conditions on elder sons Christian and Jacob for the inheritance. Deeds to Christian and Jacob were not to be executed until they fulfilled the conditions AND gave "good security" to the other children or their guardians.
So what happened to the property??? Nothing in probate records. Executor John Stauffer d. 1811.
