- From Daniel Bly July 2022: "I am sure that the Jacob Stover, who married Dorothy Neff, is the 2nd born son of Christian Stoufer of Franklin County. In Pennsylvania the "Orphans Court" was not just for underage children, it was the court to settle probate disputes. Those children of Christian were all grown up adults."
Daniel Bly has speculated that "Jacob of Hardy County" may be son of Mary Stover. Mary Stover, dau. of Jacob Stover of Strasburg (1717-1791) (brother of Peter). She had two children named Jacob and Mary, apparently without the benefit of marriage. Mary is Christian Stover Junior's sister. She and her two children were mentioned in Christian Stover Junior's 1815 will.
