- CandisBarton Penn Dugger did not die in 1850. I have a file from St. Clair Co., ILshowing her still fighting for her dower rights from her marriage to JosephPenn. File dated 1856. Also, documents from Wesley Dugger's probate filesshowing her receiving funds and writing family letters between the time ofWesley's death and 1856.
