Description: Eliza Ann did not die in 1850 or Illinois, her cousin Elizabethdied in 1850 in Illinois.
Eliza Ann left her husband Daniel and moved in with her cousin's husbandG.W.McCurley and the ensuing scandal precipitated Eliza and G.W. moving toTexas where no one knew their secret.
G.W. died shortly after their settling in Denton County, Tx.
Daniel filed for and was granted a divorce from Eliza in 1857 in FayetteCounty, Illinois. He subsequently remarried.
